Aeoliograph

The Aeoliograph was created for a residency at the Lucid Art Foundation on the Inverness Ridge above Tomales Bay in 2024. It is a portable and adjustable instrument that transcribes wind movement to circular drawing sheets 16” diameter. The drawing sheets were treated cyanotypes exposed in the morning sunlight and then drawn on in the afternoon as the wind and fog picked up. The drawings were made by a group of inked steel balls that were free to move as the Aeoliograph was activated by the wind.
